The continuity of the electricity crisis in Anbar is due to technical and financial problems in some power stations, in addition to the disagreement of the federal government to approve investment projects to set up new stations, head of the investment committee said on Wednesday.
“The province’s share of electricity is insufficient and does not fulfill the province’s need and its large population,” Mazhar Hassan told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“There are several projects to solve the crisis but they need the government’s support,” he added.

Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
