Research and Industry Minister Ahmad Nasser Karbouli with the British ambassador in Baghdad, Simon Collis, joint cooperation for the development of Iraqi industry.
A statement by the Ministry has received the Agency (news) a copy of it on Wednesday: The Karbouli urged British companies to come to Iraq and to work with companies directly to the ministry and the abandonment of the mediators, similar to French companies that applied for work in Iraq for years.
He added that Iraq is in dire need of the possibilities of Britain in all areas, and the ministry are ready to offer unlimited support for British companies and to overcome all the obstacles that might impede their work.
He pointed out: the importance of complete openness to international companies for the use of their expertise in many areas such as fertilizer, petrochemical, mechanical and electrical industries to develop products that have lost their ability to compete with imported goods, which led to the country's direction to a market economy and to bring many of its factories to invest.
For his part, said the British ambassador that British companies to enter Iraq was delayed because of conditions of security, hoping to overcome obstacles to the work of British companies in Iraq and expand the horizons of future cooperation between the two countries.
