The Iraqi Trade Bank has issued the Visa Debit Gold Card that allows holders to enjoy international sales on purchases and reservations of hotels and will be given to customers of the bank using dollar currency, according to a statement from the bank.
The statement quoted director general of the bank Hamdiya al-Jaff as saying: "The issuance of such cards encourage citizens to deal with credit cards that can be used all over the world. It is a manifestation of modernity in the banking business which is also achieving several privileges, the most important of which is not using money paper and the rapid settlement of different obligations of customers."
Jaff added that there is a plan to spread ATMs across the country that give cash in dinar and dollars. The Visa Gold Card is the fourth card issued by the Trade Bank of Iraq. Earlier the bank issued the classic Debit Visa card and Platinum in addition to the international Visa and MasterCard.
