Member of Economic Committee of the Parliament and MP of Iraqiya Slate, Azez al-Mayahi has stated that the housing project of the Basmaya city is a failure and he has also said that the National Investment Commission won’t be successful to rejuvenate it.
He has asked for explanation from the Commission in this subject.
In a statement given to the media, Mayahi has claimed that the Basmaya project is a complete failure because it is not possible for Hanway Korean Company to build 100,000 housing unit in the next seven years.
He has also added that the Commission is yet to start construction process and that plan in itself is completely pointless and impractical.
He has demanded explanation from the Commission for the citizens regarding the process of execution of the project and whether it will be completed within the professed time or not.
He further added that they had clearly stated at the time of inception that the project will be a failure and the company will be unsuccessful to complete it within the professed time of seven years.
