Suzan al-Saad, who is a member of the Oil and energy parliamentary committee, mentioned that the Ministry of Electricity has assumed the duty to examine the fuel, which is being used in electricity station after SOMO company, which was under Oil Ministry.
She also said in the statement that the fuel which is used in the electric stations undergo from a bad quality which cause quite a few problems in the electricity stations and definitely it wasted a lot of money for this reason.
She indicated that the ships, which transport the fuel suffer from many faults that affect the fuel quality, especially in last November, three ships faced such problems and as a result this problem should be addressed and accept those ships, which have the required technical arrangements.
Suzan al-Saad called the Ministry of electricity to set up offices, which are specialized in inspecting the fuel close to the ports for speeding up the time needed to inspect the fuel. She stressed that the process of examining oil adopted by the Ministry of Electricity are better than those earlier adopted by the Ministry of Oil.
