The Regional Government of Kurdistan declared that the Central Government broke the agreement, which was concluded between the Central Government of Iraq and KRG in oil sector where Kurdistan expressed the readiness for exporting the agreed amount of 175,000 oil barrel per day (bpd) to Turkey.
Safin Dizi, who is the spokesman of the KRG, said that they did commit for exporting the agreed quantity of oil crude where the Iraqi Central Government approved at that time to pay the financial dues to the operating foreign companies.
However, he added that The Government paid only the funds of the first section which is $ 650 million and refused to pay the second payment.
Dizi said that, the foreign companies operating in Kurdistan halted their activities because of such action from the Government. He emphasized saying that the Kurdistan Region does not have the adequate money for covering these financial dues to these companies.
