Qatar traders group in pact with Lebanese, Iraq teams

TRADERS from Qatar signed agreements with Lebanese and Iraqi delegations yesterday. The pacts were inked on the sidelines of the Arab Businessmen’s Forum meeting. It was agreed that Qatari-Lebanese and Qatari-Iraqi businessmen’s councils would be established.
On the Qatari side the agreements were signed by HE Sheikh Faisal bin Jassim al-Thani, the chairman of Qatari Businessmen Association, while on the Lebanese side the agreement was signed by Wajeh al-Bazri, the chairman of Lebanese Businessmen Association, and on the Iraqi side the agreement was signed by Thamir al-Shaikhly, chairman of the Iraqi Business Association.
HE Sheikh Faisal al-Thani, expressed in a statement pleasure over the signing of the two agreements, describing them as “important steps towards promoting and boosting co-operation with Lebanon and Iraq”. He said, the agreements “would reinforce and enhance economic co-operation and trade among Arab countries and would help flow of investments into the Arab world.
