Japan urges its companies to work in Iraq

The Japanese ambassador in Baghdad, Auchi Okawa stated that his Government was currently negotiating with Japanese companies to urge them to work and invest in Iraq. Stressing that his government is determined to expand the economic activities in Iraq, and to engage in various investment levels and sectors. This came during a visit by the Japanese ambassador to the headquarters of the Council of Ministers, where he met the Secretary General of the Council Ali al-Alaak today morning according to a governmental statement.
The statement quoted to the ambassador as saying that the old relations between the two countries, supported by the joint work for 7 decades of relations that the date of the seventieth anniversary of its founding will be in autumn. He pointed out that his country is currently developing plans which coincide with plans to expand diplomatic and economic expansion of the Japanese diplomatic missions in Iraq, as well as noting that there is an agreement with the foreign economic organizations to support these trends. Meanwhile, al- Alaak assured the Japanese ambassador on the intention of developing this relationship which is known as professional, technical and high-accepted by the Iraqi consumer, either in parts or equipment or in implementing the obligations of contracts and projects.
