The Government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh, announced on the formation of a National Commission for Nuclear Energy to coordinate with the International Atomic Energy Agency of the United Nations, to approve on creating regulatory bodies overseeing the application according the internationally approved procedures.
Al-Dabbagh said the cabinet also approved on creating a National Commission for Atomic Energy as an authority to coordinate with the IAEA or other relevant organizations.
And he confirmed on the Council's approval to establish independent regulatory bodies to observe the operation of nuclear installations and their conformity with internationally approved procedures, referring to the provision of specialized staff with high qualifications and starting a national program to prepare them both quantitatively and qualitatively.
