The Russian Company, Technopromexport, signed a $133 million contract with the Iraqi electricity ministry to rebuild the Hartha thermal power plant that has a capacity of 200 Megawatt, according to Novosti news agency.
Meanwhile, in a round-table meeting in Moscow on Saturday, Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki called on Russian companies to visit Iraq, “to have practical discussions.”
Maliki arrived in Moscow on Thursday (April 9) on an official visit, heading a high ranking delegation.
