A tender has been announced by the ministry of trade in Iraq for equipping 50000 tons of sugar in order to cover the needs of the ration cards.
In a statement, the MoT has reported that sugar can be imported from any country except the Thai type (TRR) or the Indian sugar, in accordance with the adopted specifications set by the General Company for Food Trade. Through a letter of credit or through cash the payment will be sanctioned.
The statement concluded, "The tender will be available until 13/ June and the offers should be accompanied by a bank guarantee or a certified check for the interest of the General Company for Food Trade as well as the other required documents.”
