Meeting Pakistani oil requirements – Iraq showed its keenness

Iraq’s Ambassador, Dr Rushdi Mahmood Al-Ani, stated that his country, Iraq is interested in supplying crude oil to Pakistan that too without any conditions. Pakistan has right now in need for energy to meet the domestic demand and Iraq’s willingness for the country is definitely a big help for the country. Iraq has also expressed its keenness to import manpower from Pakistan for the ongoing reconstruction projects in Iraq. Due to the rehabilitation process that is going on in Iraq, a lot of projects are getting pursued and opportunities have been open up. To carry out the projects, the country is in need for huge manpower.
In a message which was addressed to Mr. Dr Rushdi Gauhar Zahid Malik, Executive Editor, Pakistan Observer, Dr Rushdi stated that Iraq is looking forward to get into several deals with Pakistan. A 20 page report has been published in Pakistani paper, named as “Dawn of Hope”. The paper reported connection with the election of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as the third-time Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The texts of the said message as well as other messages of Ambassadors representing various regions have been carried in the Special Report. The Iraqi envoy stated that Iraq was the first Arab country to recognize the newly established State of Pakistan in 1947 and since then relations between the two countries have been steadily improving.
Further he stated that Pakistani manpower can serve in the Iraqi working sectors, like – industry, construction, agriculture and in other several areas.
