Limak, the Turkish oil company, has recently signed an agreement with Iraqi officials for allowing the construction and designing works of the Gali Zakho tunnel in northern Iraq.
On this regard the company has released a statement on this Thursday, illustrating that the ground breaking ceremony for Gali Zakho tunnel was held with the presence of Prime Minister of the regional administration in north of Iraq Nechirvan Barzani as well as other Iraqi ministers and Limak Ltd Co. Chairman Nihat Ozdemir.
After its successful completion, the Gali Zakho tunnel will serve safe and comfortable transportation on the trade road connecting Turkey and the north of Iraq. Chairman Nihat Ozdemir stressed that the Gali Zakho tunnel would serve as a motivation for the region in terms of trade and social life.
