Iraq’s U-23 football team qualifies for Asian Cup

The Iraqi Football Team U-23 qualified for the Asian Cup U-23. This enables Iraqi team to qualify for the the Olympic Games of Rio De Janeiro 2016. The Iraqi team qualified on top of the first group despite the 2-2 draw with the Omani counterpart in their match played on Tuesday evening in Muscat.
The Iraqi team scored first by Omani defender head at the fourth minute to double the score at the 47th minute by Iraqi player Mahdi Kamil.
The Omani team scored its first goal at the 68th minute through a penalty kick played by the Omani player Saud Khamis and the Omani player Anwar al-Hilali equalized the score for his team at the last minute of the match.
The Iraqi team's points became ten on the top of the first group while the Omani team's points are eight to compete on the best five second teams in the groups participating in the qualifiers.
