Campaign to liberate Baiji district and refinery started, led by Hadi Al-Ameri

A security source reported on Tuesday that the security forces started a campaign to liberate Baiji district from the ISIL control.

The source said to AIN that “the campaign started at 8.a.m. from two directions and now some areas are being liberated; Al-Sinaei and Al-Sikak,” adding that ‘the first direction is from Al-Siniah area, southern Baiji, towards Baiji refinery and the second one is from Albu-Jarad to liberate the whole district.”
“The forces which take part in the campaign are the Golden Division, the federal police and the volunteers of popular mobilization led by Hadi Al-Ameri,” the source concluded.
