Adel Abdul Mehdi, Iraqi oil minister, stated that Iraqi oil production reached to 3.8 million b/d. In a meeting with Iraqi President Fouad Ma'soum, Mehdi confirmed that Iraq attained new important figure in oil production.
On the other hand, President Ma'soum stressed the importance of minimizing the importation of oil products. Both sides discussed the developments in international oil prices and their effects on Iraqi national budget.
Iraqi oil production in May, 2015 reached to 3.596 million b/d. The ministry announced at the beginning of June, 2015 that oil production in Iraq in May, 2015 reached to more than 97 million barrels with revenues exceeding 5 billion dollars.
