Around 4 million Iraqis are living below poverty line

Member of the Work and Social Affairs Parliamentary Committee, MP Kadhim al-Shimmery said that in Iraq still the income status is not high a for a large number of people as around 4 million people are living below the poverty line.

On this Thursday, a statement has been released saying that accordi8ng to the data of Ministry of Planning average income for an Iraqi person is around USD 4000 per annum. A large portion of the Iraqi people suffer from different sorts of problems, including unemployment in the country.

According to the estimation of Ministry of Planning, in Iraq rate of unemployment is around 15%.

However, other sources are estimating that unemployment reached 66% in the country which is alarming.
