19 New Colleges have been created by Iraq

The Iraqi ministry of higher education has announced that on this Tuesday, 20th August, it has created 19 new colleges and 36 new departments at Baghdad University and a number of provincial universities.
This move from the ministry has been considered as the plan for increasing scientific specializations. This is also anticipated to keep up Iraqi educational sector aligned with modern higher studies in developed countries. In the statement, the ministry has informed it.
The new colleges and departments are in Baghdad, al-Mustansiriyah and al-Nahrain technology universities, as well as universities in Mosul, Basra, Babil, Wasit, al-Muthanna, Dhi Qar, Tikrit, al-Kufa, Kirkuk, al-Qadissiya, Maysan, al-Qassim and Samarra, said Deputy Minister of Higher Education Salam Hassan.
The new facilities will bring scientific specialization in Iraq that are new to Iraqi universities, such as the environment, genetic engineering and various branches of the humanities, as per the statement of the ministry.
