600 schools to be opened in Iraq in the month of September

Over 600 new elementary and secondary schools are to be opened in Iraq by this month. This is a part of the national plan that has been taken by the government to make the country enriched with schools and proper education can prevail for all. In a statement, this has been unveiled by the Iraqi ministry of education.
Building the schools cost around 500 billion Iraqi dinars ($429 million), Minister of Education Mohammed Tamim told Al-Shorfa. Officials are working to prepare an additional 580 schools in the next three months due to increasing student numbers, especially in the elementary level, he said.
