A museum to be built by Iraq in Samarra

On Tuesday, the Iraqi ministry of housing and construction announced the start of construction on a 17.2 billion dinar ($14.6 million) historical museum in Samarra.
According to the ministry statement, the museum will encompass 27,000 square meters and will feature three buildings dedicated to antiques, artifacts and precious stones from various eras, a theatre and a conference hall.
The statement also added that the museum also will feature green spaces, fountains, restaurants, a library and a cinema hall. The project is slated to be completed within 18 months.
