Iraq’s Osama al-Nijaifi gets phone call from Biden

The head of the Muttahidoon Coalition, Osama al-Nijaifi said that he is looking to the United States to take important role to help Iraq to get out of its crises.
According to a statement, received from his office, "Nijaifi received a phone call from U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, and discussed with him the details of the political situation and security situation in the country."
The statement further added, "Nijaifi stressed his national fixed stance to combating terrorism represented by al-Qaeda and the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant as he confirmed that he differentiates between them and the rights' owners who rebelled because of marginalization, denial for their rights."
"For his part, Biden stressed the need to adhere to the constitutional timings in the nomination for the three presidencies and to form a government of national partnership able to eliminate the challenges facing Iraq, especially the security challenges posed by the ISIL with the need to adopt a new policy based on adopting citizens' needs and aspirations," the statement concluded.
