MP, of the citizen bloc, Salim Shawqi said that Turkey stood against the political process in Iraq during the past period, noting that joining the international coalition against (IS) lately raises question marks.
He stated, "There is an impression exists among the members of the House of Representatives about Turkey's support for terrorist and facilitate their entry into Iraq and Syria, and this was clearly appeared when Turkey hesitated to participate in the International Alliance Against Islamic State, stressing that the foreign ground intervention, including Turkish in Iraq, is a red line and will lead to disastrous consequences, which is unacceptable from all sides."
He added that "Turkey started to use illegal means in order to disrupt the political process through its support for all the extremist terrorist organizations in order to achieve their goals, warning Turkey of a ground intervention in Iraq or Syria under the pretext of the fight against terrorists."
He made it clear that "The Gulf states felt the imminent danger from terrorists despite the support provided to them for long periods, because the threat of terrorism includes all states and does not recognize borders or state, adding that US deployed more than two thousand American troops in Kuwait, and this is a proof for that."
The Turkish parliament has approved, last Thursday, Turkey's participation in the international coalition fighting Islamic State with giving a mandate for the government to intervene direct military in Iraq and Syria.
