Major Iraqi projects discussed with Japan

Iraqi Transport Minister Baqir al-Zubaidi discussed with the Japanese Charge d'Affairs the participation of Japanese companies in Greater Fao Terminal, railway projects and rehabilitation of Baghdad airport.

In a statement by the ministry, bilateral relations were discussed, in addition to Japanese companies' participation in developing Iraqi maritime facilities.

Both sides studied the possibilities of developing Baghdad airport runway no. 4.
The Japanese side expressed readiness to train Iraqi cadre in transport fields through joint training courses in Baghdad and Tokyo.
