Energy minister of Turkey arrived Baghdad

Turkish Energy Minister, Taner Yildiz arrived in Baghdad on last Sunday on head of a high ministerial delegation to attend meetings of the Iraqi-Turkish Joint Committee.
The meeting of 17th Turkish - Iraq Joint Economic Commission will be held in Baghdad today, co-chaired by Minister of Turkish Energy and Natural Resources, Taner Yildiz and Iraqi foreign minister, Ibrahim al-Jaafari.
Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari will head the Iraqi delegation at the meetings, which includes the ministers of water resources, electricity and oil.
It is said that there are approximately 1600 Turkish companies continuing their works in Iraq. And trade exchange between the two countries reached in 2013 to nearly 16 billion Dollar. And in the last ten years, the Turkish companies in Iraq have contracting projects amounting to $ 20 billion, as well as do numerous investments in various sectors worth millions of dollars.
