Britain puts a hold to the plan of sending troops to Iraq

The United Kingdom’s Prime Minister David Cameron has put on hold a proposed plan to send hundreds of British soldiers to Iraq in the coming weeks to train the Iraqi Army, writes IHS Jane’s. The respected defense magazine is citing senior defense sources.
The UK will instead help improve coalition air surveillance, as well as sending “around 20″ counter-improvised explosive device (C-IED) experts to help train Kurdish peshmerga fighters to deal with Islamic State roadside bombs.
