Establishment of Dhi Qar Oil Company announced by Iraqi oil minister

On Thursday, Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi announced the approval of the barod of opinion in the Ministry to establish Dhi Qar Oil Company.
He said that the Oil Minister said, in a statement to the Ministry of Oil, that the foundation's decision came in the first meeting of the opinion board, which was held today, to instruct the concerned authorities in the Ministry for the completion of the establishment of an oil company in Dhi Qar province, according to the legal and administrative contexts procedures and after obtaining the approval of the cabinet.
Abdul-Mahdi said that this decision comes after the development of oil fields and increasing the output in Dhi Qar province from the fields of Nasiriyah and Gharraf.
