Iraqi oil ministry and Lukoil delegation discussed mutual cooperation

Lukoil, Russian oil major, has confirmed that the company will adhere to development plans and increasing production of oil fields under its authority in Iraq.
In a statement, the company said, "The Iraqi Oil Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi met on Sunday with the Executive Manager of the Russian LUK Oil Company Wahid Kaberov in his office in Baghdad."
The statement further added, "Minister Abdul Mahdi assured the Ministry's adherence to provide a secure environment to attract investments which will develop the oil sector and oil industry in Iraq."
The statement added "Abdul Mahdi appreciated the role of the Lukoil Company in developing and increasing the production of Gharb Qurna Oil Field."
Executive manager of Lukoil, Kaberov said about the adherence of his company to increase cooperation and investments in oil and gas sector as well as excavation in addition to petrochemicals.
He also denied alleged statement that said that "contracts concluded by his company with Iraq allow his company to stay in Iraq for long years."
