Iraq extends its deadline for 50000 tons hard wheat tender

30/06/2015
As per European traders, Iraq's state grains board has again extended a deadline for a decision in a tender to buy at least 50,000 tons of hard wheat with offers remaining valid until the close of business on Monday (June 29).
The tender had already been delayed twice with the previous deadline for a decision on June 25.
A trader mentioned, "The deadline was extended again to today, with no purchase made yet nor a tender cancellation." He also stated that he is upset with the delays.
Iraq is seeking wheat sourced from the United States, Canada, Australia or Russia for delivery between Sept. 14 and Oct. 28. Russian wheat was offered lowest at $231.00 a ton C&F free out in the tender.
