» Home » Business News Iraq Directory Services Plans Subscription Contact us Site Map Help About Iraq Iraq's Ministry Of Tourism Optimistic 8th Aug. 2005 The Iraqi and Iranian Ministries of foreign affairs have agreed that 1000 Iranian pilgrims will visit the holy places in Iraq daily. This number will be increased to 5000 pilgrims a day in the near future and as the security situation allows. The Ministry of Tourism will hold two conferences next September dealing with the tourist industry and archaeology. Experts and representatives from the private companies will take part. The agenda is to study the best ways of developing a joint strategy and to evaluate the archaeological and tourist facilities in Iraq. Inviting international companies for new tourist projects and investment will be also in the agenda. The Ministry of Tourism has put forward a plan for the training of its staff in hotel services.
