Iraq's Higher Education Ministry opens a patent center for University students

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research opened in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, a center that includes the scientific innovations of the University students that got patents, according to the head of the ministry’s media department.
"An innovation and excellence center for University students was opened in Iraq and it cares for the outstanding and creative students that won patents and awards," Siham al-Shujairi said today.
"The specialized committees will classify the scientific inventions and the excellent ones will get the international quality excellence that is adopted in international universities".
"There are a lot of hidden innovations in the Iraqi Universities," she added.
"The distinctive inventions of the Iraqi university students will be presented in next November on Baghdad International Fair ground... The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has honoured the owners of 13 inventions so far," al-Shujairi concluded.
