Karbala governor disclosed that "there are foreign will that prevent European companies from working inside Iraq", pointing that "they should work all over Iraq, as they do in Kurdistan".
Governor Amal-Din al-Hir told Aswat al-Iraq that there are well established foreign companies, including Europeans, want to implement strategic projects in Iraq, in general, and Karbala, in particular, but "there are foreign wills that prevent them".
He added that "some circles tried to exploit the events took place in 2006-2007, while the security situation is more stable for time being".
He called the companies to work all over Iraq, not concentrating in Kurdistan region.
Hir referred that the Turkish companies were more courageous to work all over the country.
Karbala, center of the province, lies 108 km south west of the capital, Baghdad.
