The Ministry of Electricity got a long-term financing from Japanese JICA institution for Nasiriyah gas station project, which cost up to two billion dollars.
According to a ministry statement, it held a special workshop at the Ministry with the Japanese JICA Foundation for cooperation in the field of electric power between the two countries."
The statement added that "the meeting focused on the completion of the study which is done by the Japanese Foundation, to finance the construction of large gas station in Nasiriyah, with capacity of 1800 MW, and 48 months of implementation."
He pointed out that "This funding will enter into a long-term plans of the ministry of up to (40) years and with a soft interest."
He added that "JICA institution will provide the study to the Japanese government, in order to obtain the fundamental approvals on the project, which cost up to two billion dollars."
