Alia Nassif , MP for the Iraqi bloc has called on the government to demand the return of 4 oil tankers belonging to the Southern Oil Company to Iraq.
Nassif said on Sunday that "these vessels had been seized by the Kuwaiti authorities when it was docked in the Kuwaiti port of Shuaiba, which belong to the Southern Oil Company and works to transport crude oil from Iraq to the rest of the world," she went on.
Nassif stressed that the" Government of Iraq needs to re-claim these carriers on the Kuwaiti side to send them back to Iraq or to pay compensation if it harmed during its detention in Kuwait."
The House of Representatives voted a majority on a bill allocating $ 300 million to push it to the Kwaiti airlines for the claims filed by them on the Iraqi Airways and the Iraqi government which is submitted by the Finance Committee, the Commission services and construction and the Legal Committee.
