The Authority of Dhi Qar fields announced that "Malaysia's Petronas, which invested in the Gharraf oil field, began implementing a number of service projects in the area operation north of the province at a cost of more than ten billion dinars."
The Director of Gharraf field Department Sattar Mehdi said "That projects included the construction of Steel Bridge on the Gharraf river in the northern city of Al Rifai, from the north of Qalat Sukar to the administrative border of Al- Rifai district."
"The company was also working to establish a set of feeder roads with small bridges in the area surrounding the field," pointing out that "the cost of completion of these projects exceeded ten billion Iraqi dinars."
