Due to bad weather Iraqi oil export halted in the Southern part of Iraq’s oilfield. Rough seas are right now causing problem to transport and it is expected to be continued for a next few days. This has been reported by Iraq oil port on last Sunday.
OPEC has recently opened a new oil export outlet in southern part of Iraq. A rise in Iraqi oil export helped the whole world by cutting the down the prices of crude oil recently.
One of the Iraqi officials reported that, "Because of bad weather oil exports have been completely stopped... Tankers cannot reach port because of rough seas and they are concerned about accidents."
Before this halt, the crude export from the Southern field was approximately around 1.656 million barrels. In the month of October export has been raised to 120,000 barrels per day, which is a record number for highest oil export of this decade.
