The Iraq Oil Ministry has announced the launch of the Nasiriya Integrated Project, and is seeking companies to develop its Nasiriya oil field and construct a refinery in the country.
The scope of work for the Nasiriya Integrated Project will include developing the over 4 billion barrel Nasiriya oil field located in the Thi-Qar province and building a new 300,000 barrel per day refinery.
The Ministry is seeking interested parties for the development project through its Petroleum Contracts and Licensing Directorate (PCLD).
Foster Wheeler has already completed the front end engineering design study for the refinery.
The Ministry will invite all the interested and qualified bidders for the project and will detail them with the relevant data such as the contractual aspects, conditions, and other information.
The PCLD will announce the winning bidders by the end of January 2013.
