Russia Is Requested by Iraq for Taking Them Out of Chapter VII Provisions

On Wednesday, the Iraqi government called the Russian side to the understanding and cooperate with endeavors to help Iraq to get rid of the provisions of Chapter VII of the UN Charter. He said that Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari expressed in a statement, on the sidelines of his meeting Charge d-affaires Russian in Iraq Alexei Bogodam, that Iraq requests Russia to be considerate and cooperate with efforts to take away Iraq from Chapter provisions of Chapter VII of the UN Charter forced on him. Zebari also added that the ongoing deliberations in the Security Council on ending the order of the Special Coordinator on Kuwaiti missing persons and property in Iraq. It is notable that Iraq is subject since 1990to Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, which forced after the attack the former Iraqi regime of the State of Kuwait in August of the same year, where this item permits the use of force against Iraq as a warning to international security, as well as freezing of large amounts of its possessions financial international banks to pay compensation to those affected by the attack.
