KR recommences the oil exporting to Turkey via trucks

19 Jan 2013
A Turkish source informed at the energy sector revealed that the Kurdistan Region recommenced its oil exports to Turkey by the trucks, the thing that is objected by the Central Government, which considers it as constitutional infringement. It was also said by the source at the Taq Taq oil field in a statement on Thursday (17th January, 2013) that the exportation of the crude oil via trucks from KR to Turkey was started again after short halt for improving the system of controlling the trucks. The source also added that the trucks loading the crude oil headed on Wednesday towards the borders with Turkey. The Kurdistan Regional Government has commissioned the Turkish Gill Energy Company for selling crude oil directly from the Taq Taq oil field to Turkey, while Baghdad considers this process as an illegal one.
