A conflict over 15 billion dollars between Izzat Al-Duri and Mohammed Younis al-Ahmed

16 Nov 2006
Iraqi Prime Minister, Nuri Al-Maliki, revealed that a conflict is going on, now, between Izzat Al-Duri and Mohamed Younis al-Ahmed to seize 15 billion dollars in order to support terrorist operations, pointing out that this amount is part of the people's money stolen by the tyrant and his men. He said that the government will work on the restoration of these funds and the prosecution of bandits as well as drying up the sources of terrorism in neighboring countries. Certain sources had announced earlier the death of Izzat Al-Duri, but then unsaid it. It is noteworthy that Al-Duri was the first assistant to Saddam Hussein who used to entrusted him with the management of many political and security matters.
