The Senegalese government has agreed to pay the debt owed to Iraq by Senegal, according to the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides in Amman. The Finance Minister Bayan Jabr stated on Tuesday that the memo included a rescheduling of amounts due to Iraq by Senegal which exceed (4.164) million dollars and the first installment will be paid in the first of next March. Al-Zubeidi said that this achievement comes after the pursuit of Finance Ministry to return Iraqi funds abroad, whether debts or those smuggled by the previous regime. He explained that the competent departments of Senegal called on to send the claim to pay the loans before fifteen days from the date of maturity. He pointed out that the financial staff continues to follow the Iraqi funds and make utmost efforts to finish the file of Iraqi debt.
