Establishing Free Trade Zones with neighboring countries

The member of Work and Services Committee in the Parliament, Bushra Al-Kinani demanded to apply the bilateral cooperation agreements with the countries that have declared their willingness to establish Free Zones between Iraq and these countries and develop the economic relations with them.
Al-Kinani stated on Wednesday that establishing Free Zones will lead to create projects with high economic returns to the country.
She pointed out that such moves would strengthen Iraq's demands to join the World Trade Organization and support the private sector in the areas of manufacturing, packaging and agriculture as main hubs to raise the level of development and trade in Iraq.
