British company is preparing deigns for Nasiriyah Refinery

The Ministry of Oil has concluded a contract with a British company to prepare designs for Nasiriyah refinery at cost of 180 million dollars.
An official source in Nasiriyah refinery stated on Tuesday that the Administration of the refinery has formed a committee involving experts from the Ministry of Oil to select the best design and location for Nasiriyah refinery, adding that the refinery chose a site adjacent to the old refinery, between Nasiriyah city and Suq al-Shuyukh.
He pointed out the ministry had rehabilitated the feeding fields for the refinery as al-Gharraf and al-Nasiriyah fields, and their completion rate over (70%).
It should be noted that Nasiriyah refinery's production capacity of up to 300 thousand barrels per day.
