Workshop Held at University of Al-Basra, Featuring Google Maps Maker

A workshop has been organized by the central library at University of Al-Basra on Google Maps Maker and identifying the possibility of investing it in research operation.
The special updates of Google Maps Maker, dealing with network programming, as well as network of Smart Phones, Vehicle that work in GPC in order to locate the car on satellite, etc. – are discussed in the workshop.
The importance of free and big database over the internet has also been discussed in the same workshop. The database will have the data, like - places, streets and main bridges images of Al-Basra Governorate.
30 trainees from different colleges and a number of faculty members from different Universities participated in this workshop.
