Motorola participates in the greatest event Iraq will witness

DBX activities – Motorola incorporation confirmed its participation in DBX through its regional manager, Mazin Al-Ashaiker, who talked about the availability of great opportunities to develop the sector of telecommunications in Iraq via Motorola participation in DBX. As an explanation, Al-Ashaiker added that "Motorola Incorporation is a global leader in wireless, broadband and automotive communications technologies and embedded electronic products. It is one of the greatest providers of wireless handsets, customized, mission-critical radio communications and information systems, embedded telematics systems that enable automated roadside assistance, navigation and advanced safety features for automobiles and integrated electronics for the power train, chassis, sensors and interior controls. Motorola also develops and manufactures wireless infrastructure communications systems including hardware, software and services. In addition, this global leader can develop and deploy end-to-end digital broadband entertainment, communication and information systems for home and office".

Former DBX:
On May 25th through 27th, I-ACCI organized and produced Turkish version of DBX in Diyarbakir. To satisfy a growing and urgent need for a gathering of exhibitors and Iraqi business community somewhere outside Iraq to avoid security concerns. I-ACCI could lead the largest international trade delegation ever to come from Iraq, with some 1500 Iraqi businessmen, networking with some 120 companies who were the key participants in DBX.

Future – organized DBX:
- Attendees: Hundreds of exhibitors from around the world will participate in this year’s Destination Baghdad Expo “DBX”. Exhibitors will represent all the economic sectors. In addition, there will be thousands of pre-qualified business-persons who will be in attendance at the expo. “Pre-qualified” implies that all attendees will be registered and issued photo ID. All exhibitors will be issued a complete list of all attendees for further follow-up. Moreover, each of Iraq’s ministries will be exhibiting in DBX, available to both exhibitors and attendees for discussion and answering questions.

- Security: A comprehensive security plan will be provided through the cooperative efforts of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, an international private security provider, and Coalition forces.

- Conference: As part of the trade show, IACCI is organizing a business conference aimed at providing general information and educational modules to attendees and exhibitors. The conference and networking sessions will go on all three days of DBX to maximize the opportunity for networking and face to face meetings. Featured Speakers will include foreign experts on industrial and trade sectors, Iraqi Ministers and foreign business experts in management, marketing, import and export facilitation, finance, and EFL/ESL.

- Business Center: A full service business center will be opened to all in attendance at DBX. Amenities will include telephone communications (mobile and land lines), internet and email, fax, and photocopy services.

Perspective:
DBX will provide opportunities for Iraqi companies to directly relate to foreign companies right here in Iraq, as opposed to going through middle-man agents or the less-than-glorious venue of trade fairs in other countries. Putting Iraqi business-people in direct contact with the foreign companies is the goal of the Baghdad Expo. Iraqis will see for themselves the wealth of availability of foreign resources and abundant opportunities, as foreign companies will be able to finally get a picture of the individual companies on the playing field. By opening such a venue as the Destination Baghdad Expo will be unknown will shrivel and Iraqi companies will be encouraged to begin to step out and initiate new foreign trade relations.
