| | |  |  | | The World Bank grants 85 million dollars to Baghdad Municipality projects
The World Bank allocated 85 million dollars to Baghdad Municipality projects which include water projects, sewerage and major designs of the capital.
An official source in Baghdad Municipality said that negotiations between The World Bank representatives and Baghdad mayor (Mr. Ala'a Al-Tameemy) resulted in financing 5 projects for water including raising productivity in places that suffer from scarcity, modernizing water nets and sewerage projects to supply residential places with these services including parts of Al-Sader area costing 60 million dollars.
The reference said that the second phase includes the projects of major designs of Baghdad city. Other projects are concerned with rehabilitation staffs in Baghdad Municipality in different scopes and being provided with training equipments to raise qualifications level.
