The director-general (Mr. Thafer Abdullah Husain) said that the work will include digging and installing covering and padding pipes, and testing with installing pumping equipments. This project is included in 2004 investment plan and it will take 5 months clarifying that 16% of the project is achieved until now. He assured that Ministry of Water resources set standards to dig water wells such as: digging must be in areas that are lacking for water shares, a distance between each well and another should be not less than 500m, an ownership document is obligatory, and a certificate from Ministry of Water Resources that the area lacks for water shares and digging is not conflicting with projects of other Departments such as Water or Electricity.
