Baghdad, As-sabah, The Ministry of Industry and Minerals has hired several stations from Turkey to make power available for cement factories and eradicate most serious problem which had faced cement industry in Iraq.Mohammed al-'Ani the Supervisor of the companies' activities at the ministry indicated that this procedure will pave the way for increasing cement production after the factories will begin work with their full productive energy at the rate of three shifts round the day, clarifying that the ministry is seeking to decrease cement prices in case that the new mechanism has been followed a week ago in coordination with municipality councils in districts will be succeeded.He pointed out that the ministry has realized big strides to change companies and 6 military manufacturing plants' production which have been affiliated to the ministry.He clarified that production has been changed in plants of al-Akha'a and al-Shaheed companies from the military to civilian works, revealing that al-Akha'a Company has signed several contracts with Iraqi companies at cost of ID3billions. Further more; al-Shaheed Company has signed several big contracts with Ur Company and Diyala Company for Electrical Industries.
