Wisam al-Obaydi, the administrative assistant of Diwaniya governor, has announced allocating IQD 500 billion to build housing units for poor families in the province.
In a statement, Wisam al-Obaydi remarked, ''The housing units will be distributed among the people who are living under poverty line and the families that live at the suburbs.''
He concluded, ''Obaydi called the civil society organizations and the international organizations to help the local government of Diwaniya province since it is planning to provide (500) housing units where Diwaniya is classified as the second poorest city in Iraq.''
