Iraqi finance minister discussed with IMF head of Middle East

Minister of Finance Agency Safi-ddin al-Safi touched in Washington with the head of the Middle East and North Africa of the International Monetary Fund Masood Ahmed to discuss the possibility of support given to the Ministry of Finance.
According to a source, "The two sides discussed within spring meetings of the IMF and the World Bank which are currently held in Washington, the possibility of the Fund's support to the Ministry of Finance in the area of budget preparation, income forecasting and public expenditure management.”
Safi is heading the Iraqi delegation to Washington for the spring’s meetings of the IMF and the World Bank in Washington, DC, April 2014.
