To protect oil pipeline attacks, Iraq is eyeing for Bulgarian inventions

Iraq’s Ambassador in Sofia has said that Iraq is working on a project for protecting its oil pipelines against terrorist attacks that uses Bulgarian know-how.
In an interview with Bulgarian daily 24 Chasa carried on Friday Ambassador Asaad Ali Yaseen Khalaf Al Samarraie said that Bulgaria has a licensed invention for protecting oil pipes that Iraqi authorities can use.
While on a visit to the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences the Iraqi Ambassador has seen himself how the Bulgarian invention could provide good protection to oil pipelines in his country. Attacks on oil infrastructure by anti-government militants often disrupt extraction, transportation and refining of crude oil in Iraq which costs the country millions of dollars in lost revenue.
The Iraqi Ambassador went on to say that he had liked the idea behind the invention very much and had proposed to his government to make use of it. He further noted, “The authorities accepted the idea with interest.”
